Scaling objects

Really, you still have to zoom in to scale an object from center AND hit the exact anchor point. No wonder people are abandoning Adobe. Figma has had the feature where you can just drag anywhere on the edge of an object to scale it for years, and you dont even have to zoom... Wake up Adobe, you are becoming dinosaurs.

When using the scale tool for scaling you can just cliock and drag anywhere on the canvas to scale. it. Hold down Alt to scale it from center. Hold down shift to scale it proportionally. This has been working since before Figma even existed.

Hi @licens10274518419e0q,

Thanks for sharing your feedback. I completely understand how having to zoom in and grab the exact anchor point to scale from the center can disrupt your workflow, especially when you're making quick design adjustments. Illustrator's current setup is focused on precision, but I can see how a more flexible scaling option, where you can simply drag from any edge, would make things faster and more intuitive.

It would be great if you could add your feedback to the Illustrator UserVoice page as a feature request, so others can upvote it and help us prioritize it for future updates. You'll also get notified there if any progress is made on the request.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions or need help with anything else.
