Question

Scaling text-on-a-path causes the text to relocate or shift along the path

In my video, I have eight text objects arranged in a circle, which are all on their own paths. If I select them and attempt to scale up from the center (holding Option+Shift, mouse drag), the texts on the outer circle reposition themselves in different places on the path they're on. So the texts seem to be jumping counter-clockwise for no reason. So, I have to manually realign to their original positions.
So I am not sure why they are moving on their own after being scaled. Anyone has seen this odd behavior or maybe have an alternative way I can scale the text on paths without having this happen? Thanks for any help.

@nmycps maybe I am not seeing it...I see you selecting it, but nothing else....

I would select the background shapes and lock that into place, unless you want this to be scaled up as well. In that case, I would save two files. One file as editable text. And save another one, with the text set to outlines. Then resize the text to outlines, and everything should be scaled propritionaltely. Also make sure in your Illustrator preferences are Scale Corners and stroke and effects is on (MINE IS OFF THOUGH)
