Screen Adjustment Problem

I can't zoom, move my screen, or even go into outline mode no text show up when im trying to write either. Can someone help. I did recently update my graphics card.

Update: I can see my text now and zooming is back to normal but outline mode is still not active. I use the shortcut all the time with all my docs and the only time i get to see it is when I close the document it flashes.
