Script for exporting diffrent formats to source folder

Hello,

First and foremost, huge respect to you who can code and create scripts! Now to my question.

I'm working as a technical illustrator. When i have a finished illustration it then needs to be exported to many diffrent formats, JPEG, SVG, PNG and EPS. My normal way of exporting these files have been trough the use of actions. So the process is that I work on the AI-file in a specifik workfolder, then export all the formats to a another specifik exportfolder. For structural reasons i must have all the exported files in the same folders, so i must then move all the files from the exportfolder to my workfolder. Because i do a lot of jobs every day i must keep all the illustrations seperated in diffrent workfolder, and beacuse of that i feel like I'm wasting a lot of time just moving files from one folder to another.

So my question is now this, is there some kind of script, or a similiar script, that export all the formats I previously mentioned into the same sourcefolder that I'm working in, and also have the same name as the AI-file?

Very grateful for tips or help!

Mvh Linus

Hi,

can you confirm the version of the software and operating system you are using?

Have you looked into this? https://helpx.adobe.com/ie/illustrator/using/collect-assets-export-for-screens.html

Hello Eric,

I'm operating on a Windows 10, and are using the Illustrator CC 2018 version.

Thank you for the tip! I checked it out, but not an exact match of what I'm looking for. My idea is to have a script, or an action that points to a script, that will export these fileformats without a dialoug box poping up, without the need to specify wich formats the export should include (the program would know it), and without needing to specify wich folder the files should end up in. The program would automagicly export the files to the same folders as it is saved in, with only the press of a button, that's my vision for this!

Gratefull for help!

Cheers, Linus
