Script that will sequentially number the paths of an object

can be done, but need more info...

do you want to select a group, run script that numbers all path items in that group?

do you want that to include text frames etc.?

do you want it it go deeper into nested groups?

if so do you want it to number them as all other items or as a part of the group.?

ie:

1 path 2 path 3 group      3.1 path      3.2 path 4 text 5 group      5.1 text      5.2 path      5.3 group           5.3.1 path           5.3.2 path      5.4 path 6 path

or should this just be numbered 1-14?

do you want it to keep its original name?

if it has no name do you want it to have it's typename?

also as you also would like some help on how to install...

can we have system details.
