Script to caption objects from the names in the layes pallette

Question

Is there a script to add a text line in the center of each selected object with a name of the object from  the layers palette?Can anybody help to write it if not?

This one works for me, but in the case i have only rectangles to be named

Re: How do I copy the path name from the layers panel to the center of the path/object in my AI file? Is there a native function or some sort of scripting that could be done?
