Script to Select Next Object Below without deselecting the current Object

Hi, I am trying select next object below without losing the selection of currently selected object.

Now if I use the Select Next Object Below it select the next object but deselect the object already selected.

But I need next object to add to the selection.

Also I need to do this in a script so I can record this function in action.
