Select Same button in the tool bar now replaced with the AI button when text is selected.

i'm 99% sure that previously when i have a text object selected, the 'select same' button shows up on the toolbar.

 

But now it's repaced with the ai button. 

 

  

Is it a bug? or did they do it on purpose?

I checked that in version 2023 and the button wasn't there.

 

Maybe you can create an action for selecting the same text (by formatting or color etc) and then assign a shortcut to that if you need the function a lot?

    There is only a limited amount of space there. What happens if you uncheck Generate in the Control panel menu?

    luckily i have 5k to work with 🙂

     

    turning off Generate just removes the AI button. doesn't bring back the select same button
