Select Same Font Family Doesn't Work

Adobe Illustrator Illustrator 30.8.2 (Mac)

I have a document with several text boxes. Within my text boxes, I have varying fonts. I want to highlight a word with the font I’d like to find so I can replace all of them, and once I click Select, Same Font Family, nothing gets selected and the current selection is deselected. This feature should be amazing and I have never gotten it to work properly.
