Select Same option all grayed out

Question

Hi, can someone help me fix this issue that I'm currently facing? The Select > Same option is all grayed out, and I'm not sure how that happened. Thank you for the response.

Thanks for sharing the screenshot. Adding to the expert's suggestions, could you please confirm if this happens in all documents or just a specific one? Also, please share your Illustrator version and operating system details. Try manually resetting Illustrator preferences and then test if the issue continues.
