Selecting tool will not offer rotation anymore

I have Adobe Illustrator CC and a few days ago my selection tool is a little off...

When I slect a piece, it gives me only the outlines and ankerpoints, but not the square surrounding the object... therfore I can't turn, rotate or adjust the object anymore.

Hope that someone can help me (I bet it is something silly and easy to "fix" LOL).
