Selection box is weird when canvas is rotated

When canvas is rotated, selection box is unusable. Please fix this Adobe.

To call the current behaviour "unusable" depends on what you have on your artboards and what you're going to do. I can imagine many cases that would be difficult to handle if the selection marquee angle was not adapting to the rotated view.

For example, if you have a larger grid of evenly distributed objects (chequerboard), rotate the view by 30° and then want to quickly select the objects row by row (or column), many users may rather be appalled if the selection marquee was only working parallel to the screen.

So, if you want to do another feature request, please ask for an optional change and not for a replacement.

I don’t think so. The marquee behavior is so unpredictable that it makes everything more difficult. If it’s not fixed today, it will be fixed tomorrow. As canvas rotation gradually becomes more widely adopted, more users will grow frustrated with this strange situation.

I'm afraid your statement is just too vague to start a meaningful debate.

@Anubhav M -- when you say you could not replicate this, do you mean that after you use the rotate view tool to some angle other than a multiple of 90 degrees, selection marquees are level for you? Because I'm sure if so that information would be a surprise to Illustrator developers, never mind users.
