Selection Glitch - V. 27.7

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently using Adobe Illustrator for Mac on v. 27.7.

My team and I are experiencing some weird behaviours since the last update.

Whenever we try to select an object (any object) the cursor seems to not be selecting it for a few seconds, it is followed by the colour wheel on ocassion and after moving the cursor to a different area of the canvas the object seems to appear attached to the cursor as if it was being dragged (even though it is not)

I've tried deleting illustrator and re-installing it and it doesn't resolve the issue.

Has anyone had this issue? it really decreases productivity. I'm considering moving away from illustrator for vector artwork.

Thank you.

Sounds like a speed issue. What else is running in the background? Do you use screensharing while using Illustrator? I would try closing everything and, if you can, exporting anything that takes up a large amount of  space in your hard drive into external storage. Then reopen Illustrator and see if it works.
