Set a beautiful title exercise

The exercise says;

"2. Place a background image

You'll start by adding a background image. Choose a simple texture or an image with open space for text.

Choose File > Place....."

When I open a file it DOES NOT say "place"!  With is going on? Why don't the tutorial screen shots match the actual current version of Adobe Ai (17.0.2) ? This is making learning the trial version difficult.

    You need to have a new file open and then go to File>Place to insert a copy of an image into your new file.
