Setting up the Grid Guideline

I'm teaching myself Illustrator. One thing I'm trying to setup is the grid that sits on the artboard. Is there a specific value I need to enter under Edit > Preferences > Guides and Grid to get the grid style seen in the video below?

This video is how I would like to have it setup (a tight grid that seems to break up small squares, and large squares):  Ash Thorp sharing his process in developing User Interface. July 6, 2016 - YouTube

Thanks a lot for anyone who can shed some light on this topic.

He mentions twice in the first few minutes that this video builds on his earlier videos—which is likely where he shows his setup for the specific grid he is using. If you need to match it, I'd recommend going back and watching the earlier videos.

That said, when you choose View > Show Grid, you will see the small and large squares automatically. If you want smaller squares, increase the subdivisions (and/or Gridline every)  in Preferences > Guides and Grids until you get the desired result.
