Share for review not working in Illustrator "couldn't create link. Try again later."

Share for review works on both Photoshop and InDesign. I've updated to current version (29.4).
Things I've tried to fix:

  • Tried other files thinking the file was maybe corrupt, same result
  • Uninstalled and Reinstalled Illustrator
  • Restarted
  • Loged out of Adobe CC

Hello @sansmoose79,

Our team has requested additional information. Kindly help us with these, so we can investigate the problem:

- Which version of Illustrator are you currently using?
- Has this problem started happening after a recent update?
- Can you check if this happens with earlier versions of Illustrator (https://adobe.ly/3FUcmYk)?

- Are you getting this error message for Cloud Documents, Local Documents, or Both?
- Are you able to save cloud documents?
- Any other errors or inconsistencies observed?
- A screen recording of the problem (if possible)

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Anubhav,
Thanks for your message, after reading what you were asking, I tried saving the doc to the cloud instead of from my computer, then it worked! So I went back to the saved file on my computer and now it all works. Looks like I needed to wake up saving to the cloud in order for it to work. Thanks!

I’m facing the same issue. I’ve tried logging out and logging back in, but it hasn’t worked. I’ve attached the screenshot for reference

Hi @khalibauri,

Thanks for reporting and sorry to hear that you experience this. Could you please confirm your exact Illustrator version and OS version?

I tested Share for Review in Illustrator 30.7, and it worked as expected on my end. As a first step, please sign out of the Creative Cloud desktop app, restart it, sign back in, and then test Share for Review again.

Also, could you check whether the error occurs with every Illustrator document or only with a particular file? Please try creating a simple new document and generating a review link from it as a comparison.

Let us know the results so we can narrow this down further.

Thanks,
Abhishek

Hi @sansmoose79,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you are unable to create a Share for Review link in Illustrator. I am unable to reproduce the issue at my end on my Mac machine. Would you mind telling us if this is happening with all files or with a specific file? Please also share the details of your operating system.

Please try signing out of Illustrator, Creative Cloud Desktop app, restart the machine, sign back to the Creative Cloud Desktop app and launch Illustrator from it.

Let us know if that helps. We would be happy to investigate further.

Thanks,

Harshika

Hello @sansmoose79,

While I check this with the team, could you try running Illustrator under a different administrator account (Windows / macOS) and checking if it helps?

Looking forward to hearing from you.
