I’ve seen similar reports with Share for Review in Illustrator, so it may not be an issue with your Creative Cloud login. Adobe’s documentation confirms that Illustrator should allow you to create additional review links through Share → Share for Review → More Options → Create new link.

Since you can update existing links but cannot create a new one, I’d try these before reinstalling again:

Sign out of Creative Cloud, quit all Adobe apps, then sign back in.
Try creating a new link from a small/simple Illustrator file. This helps determine whether the issue is document-specific.
Save the file locally rather than from a network/cloud-synced location.
Check whether Manage Review Links shows the existing links correctly.
If possible, test the same workflow in the latest Illustrator beta to see whether the issue has already been addressed.

There have been recent Share for Review problems reported in both Illustrator and InDesign, including artifact/link errors, so your timing is worth mentioning in an Adobe bug report.

If a simple new document also refuses to generate a new link while InDesign works normally, that would strongly point toward an Illustrator-side Share for Review issue rather than your account setup.

I have tried this after the many log out / log in attempts. same results.

Thanks for trying the suggestions. Would you mind trying the following steps and checking if it helps:

    • Close all Adobe applications

    • Remove the Creative Cloud Desktop application, CCLibrary, and CoreSync using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html)

    • Reinstall the Creative Cloud Desktop application (https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html)

    • Relaunch Illustrator

Let us know if that helps.

    Thanks,

    Harshika

in the share for review window in the upper right, I get a red bar that says cannot create link or whatever. Try again later  I attach the picture from someone else’s post because I’m away from my desk at the moment but this is the exact message I get the exact same thing

I have tried saving the file to the cloud and then try it I have tried saving locally and tried it. I’ve tried multiple new files different and none of them will let me create it.

and I have logged out of Creative Cloud multiple times shut the app down shut all the apps down rebooted the computer logged back in nothing has changed it. It is only illustrator causing this issue

I can, however, open a file that has a previously created link update the contents of that illustrator file and update the link and everything works fine but if I create a new document, put a circle on it and say share for review, it gives me that red bar in that chair for you saying you can’t create the link try again later this started end of last week at some point

@Corey_Longstreth0774 I’m not seeing the issue on my end, so it might be something local on your system. It could be Illustrator’s Share‑for‑Review cache acting up. Try resetting Illustrator’s preferences —this will clear the Share‑for‑Review cache. Surprised that signing out of CC didn’t fix it, since that usually refreshes the cloud token.

Command K for MAC or Control K for PC are the keyboard shortcuts for Preferences
