Question

Shortcut Keys in Illustrator Save Dialog not working

As part of my workflow, I would create a folder for my project through the Illustrator save dialog, type the name of the folder and before hitting 'create', use cmd+a to select the name and cmd+c to copy the text.  I would then used cmd+v to paste the name into the filename field so that I wouldn't have to type it twice (introducing the possibility of errors).

Since updating to Illustrator 2020, I am unable to use shortcut keys in the save dialog and instead have to right click to copy/paste/cut, which is slowing down my workflow.  The other option is to just type it a second time though that is far from ideal and would slow things down further.

I just checked and cmd+shft+n (new folder shortcut) functions just fine; cmd+x does not.

This appears to be an issue only with Illustrator; the InDesign save dialog is functioning as normal.  Is there a way to fix this?

I've moved this from the poorly named Community Help forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Illustrator forum so that proper help can be offered.
