shortcut to turn on snap function?

I was working on a drawing when all of a sudden I can no longer snap to corners of objects...I assume I keyed in a shortcut that turned off snap. ( for example: Im trying to draw a box..attached to another box from the corner, but have no snap)...any help would be greatly appreciated..ty
