Shows as not saved after export to svg

I am just curious, why is Illustrator behaving like this:

I save the artwork and then export to SVG. When done it shows the * as the file is changed somehow.
Why is that? It does not occur everytime. I have noted that this occur more often if the artwork is complex.

Any ideas? This is not a big problem and I have not tried to other formats since we work only with svg.

I have Win 10 and Illu 23.1

An SVG is missing  (is not as rich on symbols, patterns, brusches etc) some of the things that you have in an .ai file, so what it is elling you is that you have more than an .svg. If you want to save an .svg and keep the master .ai document open try using "Save a Copy…" That is a little like exporting the file because it saves the file as it is, but the open file is the master, th same file that was open before you saved your copy. Kind of hard to explain in words, but try it and hopefully you will understand.
