Slices are disapearing/disableing

So.. I slice up a design in Ai to export web jpgs for use in Dreamweaver - all good - I then make some Changess to the design and want to re-export the slices... suddenly ALL SLICES ARE NOT WORKING! The slices seem to be there, well the shape is there, but they are not active slices any more.The only fix is to re-slice the design. I had to re-slice a file 4 times the other day!! arrgghhhh!!!

So frustrating to have to re-slice the design evey time I want to export.

Anyone else having this issue?? got any ideas/solutions?

Ive searched online but cant find any one else facing this issues.

Ive tried uninstall/reinstall of Ai but no luck.

I ran into the same issue and figured it out. If the slices are visible in your layers but inactive, select the layers and go to Object > Slices > Make to activate them before exporting web JPGs.

Hope this helps someone out.

Bro... My original post was from 2021 - It really took 4 yrs to get around to this?
