Slow open IA file

My file have one gigabytes of size, but it is only a brochure of 2 pages, something simply without layers.

 

When I save the file it is very fast.

 

But I try to open it take 20 minutos to 1 hour, in the "Task Manager" indicate that one processor is to 100% of use. After that show a error about fonts.

What exactly is in the file? Placed images?

Where do you save it and using which options?

 

You can copy everything from the file and copy it to a new file and then save.

Imagens and Text.

The imagens are in the file. I don't use link

The open really faster with adobe acrobat. but in Illustrator take a lot of time.

 

I to copy the only layer that I have to new one. It take a lot of time when I try to save.

Did you save different versions of the file and then interchange the images or replace some of the images with others? If you did, have you resaved the file and overwritten the earlier version? This will remove the multiple copies of images which may have been saved in the PDF portion of the file.
