Smart Guide Line Extension not snapping

I recently updated to Illustrator 2025 and since doing so, when I go to extend a line by dragging an anchor, it is no longer snapping to the "Line Extension". I have verified that the correct preferences are checked under Preferences> Smart Guides> Anchor/ Path Labels.

Any help on this would be great thanks!

As far as I can see the issue has been fixed in the latest Illustrator version 29.0.1.

I hasn't been fixed for lines with any curvature. 29.0.1 is only giving us the new (useless) 45° and 90° smart guides, instead of line extension.

I'm not quite sure what your screenshots are going to tell.

For me the Line Extension smart guide works well in Illustrator 29.0.1. No matter if the paths contain only straight segments or a mix of curved and straight segments.

Am I overlooking something?

It's the same for me. Everyone, while Adobe is trying to fix this you can extend a line in the same angle by just placing a guide over the line and extending it. Have a nice and productive day!
