Question

Snap to guides?

I have had this issue for ages now and I never can seem to find anything on it, I will have a grid of guides and start to make some geometric illustrations but when I zoom the pen tool has not lined up properly with the guides which leaves annoying gaps I have to manually fix, I have tried to adjust some settings in the smart guides preferences but nothing seems to help, another issue is that once I create a shape, I try to make another shape on top of it but then it will stop snapping to the guides.. if that makes sense. Could anyone help with this? Maybe I need to change some settings somewhere?

Thank you!

If you, instead of guides, set up a grid with the gridlines in front and use snap to grid, would that do what you want?

    Lewis,

If you have Snap to Grid ticked, what happens if you untick it?

Hello, I don't have snap to grid ticked though it is the same problem.
