Question

'Snapping' not working properly on guides so I have to zoom in and manually adjust points..

I use Smart Guides and have a 8pt snapping tolerence, snap to grid/point/pixel are all turned off.

I am currently working on an isometric piece using guides and when I create a shape and zoom in I see that the points are slightly off the guides, does anyone know why that might be? This has been a constant issue for me for years and I've never found a perect workaround. I've attached an example of what I see when I zoom into a point. Thanks!

Exactly what do you align exactly how?

I'm using the pen tool to draw shapes and I want to snap to the isometric guides I have created but once I've made the shape and zoomed in I can see some of the points are slightly off so I have to manually align them to the guides.

The screenshot you are showing is not very insightful. Can you please be a bit more elagorate about your process? You know that snapping in Illustrator works best when snapping to the cursor position?
