Question

Some features are missing from my Adobe Illustrator (intertwine and retype)

So I can't find some features in my Adobe illustrator including when I search for them, specifically intertwine and retype. My software is fully updated to version 27.7 and creative cloud says it's up to date too. Any ideas as to what I can do?

Thanks.

The Intertwine feature is listed in the Object menu (between Repeat and Blend). The Retype (Beta) feature is found in the Type menu (just below Optical Margin Alignment and above Bullets and Numbering). If you don't see those commands in those menu locations then something is wrong with your installation of Illustrator 27.7.

Thank you, I've checked both those locations and am unable to find the features. Do you think uninstalling and reinstalling adobe illustrator will make the difference or is there any other way to do it?

Uninstalling and re-installing is the first step I would suggest. If that doesn't work then I would remove Illustrator using the Creative Cloud cleaner tool (which removes all references of Illustrator in the OS) and re-install Illustrator cleanly.
