Some tools freeze. Others are available

Sometimes I am unable able to select a tool I was already using. I cannot click on the tool but I can select other tools. This will last for a short period of time (1 - 2 mins) and then I am able to use all of the tools again. It seems to be random as far as which tool will freeze.

In general if I start seeing any intermittent application freezes I'll check for any driver updates for the GPU and any attached devices, such as a Wacom tablet. The same goes for strange application crashes. In rare cases the current device driver might be bad and need to be rolled back to a prior version.

Hello, programs freeze for a variety of reasons, including hardware

programs running at once, outdated drivers, virus or malware infections,

For example, I installed the latest graphics card driver because
Illustrator would completely freeze if I didn't use it for a while. So far,
Illustrator has been working perfectly.

Would you mind sharing some more details, like the exact version of the OS/Illustrator, system config (CPU/GPU/Memory), if this happens when working on a particular file or when switching from a particular tool/feature, and a screen recording of the problem, so I can better assist you?
