Sonoma upgrade and ARM

Question

So I finally upgraded to Sonoma from Monterey, and I'm getting this warning when I open Illustrator that it is being launched in "Rosetta mode" and that I need to run it in "ARM native mode".

I don't know what any of this means. I don't use any third-party apps, but I might in the future for all I know.

Is this basically just saying that eventually Ai will only run in ARM mode and that, if I want to use third-party apps, I'll also have to use the Rosetta emulator? It sounds like I just need to run in ARM mode and cross any Rosetta bridges when I come to them. If so, how do I go about running in ARM mode?

To answer my own question: Illustrator must be re-installed.

What I underatand from this message is that it prompting you to launch the app in "ARM native mode" this is generally done to get the best performance from the apps as they would run natively and can harness the full potential of the machine. Rosetta mode is an emulation mode so it might have performance issues.

In order to run in "ARM native mode" right click on the app icon and select the "Get Info" option. Then in the dialog that appears uncheck the "Open Using Rosetta" checkbox
