Question

"Spreading"/Scaling asset group without changing original asset dimensions?

IS there a way to Scale (not the ususual Shift Drag) an asset group over a larger area, but not changing the orignal individual asset sizes (freezing/locking the original size) - so the assets get spread over a upscaled general size area without increasing the original dimensions. So I guess the term would be "spreading" the assets out proportionally with frozen/locked dimensions while scaling?  Am working a star map and wish to reduce assets to 25% of their original size then scale that up to a bigger area size but not change that original size attributes while "scaling".  Essentially spreading the assets out proportionally over a larger area without changing that original 25% (smaller) size.

On the ungrouped objects you could use Object > Transform > Transform Each to scale them down in place and use the regular scale tool to scale everything up. You need to calculate how much to scale them down at first to end up with the right size after upscaling (or use Transform each again).

You the man!!  Did the reverse, scaled to new area size and did the "Transform Each" to smaller percentage -way too easy - thanks!!
