Stop panels auto-close

I have multiple displays connected in laptop. Working with illustrator, it becomes a pain when I move and dock the illustrator to a second monitor and vice versa. The side panels closes (minimize) automatically and I have to re-expand them all the time. Yes there is a resolution different in both the monitors but still are above FHD resolution.

Is there any way to fix, lock and have them be opened permanently?

So basically there are a lot of other panels below that fill the column?

Can you check Preferences > User Interface - there is a setting that automatically reduces the panels to the icon. Is that perhaps turned on?

These are collapsing like this. I have to expand them multiple times, when changing the screens.. maybe it tries to fit the panels to the size, maybe there should be a scroll wheel option too for people who don’t want their panels to collapse.
