Stroke Option Changes

I am tracing this butterfly. My stroke option is 2pt. Some times I found this stroke option is changing without my knowledge. It takes less than 2pt. How to fix it?

And then you scale the shapes?

Please check if Scale strokes and effects is turned off in Preferences > General

What tool are you using to trace with? Maybe you are hititng "d" which is a shortcut to go back to the default of 1pt black stroke. Without more information, not worth me speculating more.
