Stroke Profiles vs. Pen tool.

Hi!

Is there a way to draw paths with the Pen tool that include a Stroke Profile?

It seems like every time I draw a path with the Pen tool, the Profile resets to "Uniform", which forces me to reselect/reapply the desired Profile afterwards.
