Stroke thickness embedding

Hi. When embedding eps and pdf files the strokes get really thick. I checkec the "scale strokes" option in preference but it doesn't fix the issue. Thnak you for your help

    Which app generated the EPS/PDF?

    Do you need a live stroke, or would expanding it be an option for you?

    In that case instead of embedding: try and place the PDF and then Object > Flatten transparency (check "Outline strokes")
