Strokes objects disappearing in illustrator / in design

Hi there,

Completely stuck on this!
I am using a new Mac book pro and noticed objects disappearing in illustrator / indesign.

It's really affecting my work flow and i have NO idea why its happening. The strokes export, so are definitely there, but break in the ai file....

    Cmd E switches to CPU preview.

    Probably a display problem.
