Surface pro 4, very poor experience, help...

Hi to everyone,

I recently started to discover the marvelous Illustrator brushes for drawing comics.

Well, at least...they are marvelous on other machines: Illustrator brushes work like a charm on my good old acer ep121 (it seems like I am working with Photoshop, smooth and all) and so on my other pc too.

Instead..with sp4 is a drama. I tried to install wintab 64 and quite nothing changed (instead, Photoshop got even more good than before). Maybe I did have to uninstall also the native sp4 drivers? Illustrator is laggy and make jiggly lines, and with gpu active, is even worse. A terrible experience that prevents me from drawing.

Can you help me? I have read many discussions here and on other sites, but I  ignore if there is a definitive solution.

    Hi Angelo,

    Can you please try reinstalling your Surface Pro Driver:  Download Surface Pro 4 Drivers and Firmware from Official Microsoft Download Center

    Let us know if that solves the issue for you or if you're still experiencing problems with Illustrator after that.

    THank you so much for the answers, guys.

    Ray, I know Manga Studio, very beautiful, but I have to practice with illustrator for personal reasons and drawing comics is a very good occasion to get acquainted with it.

    Wren, I thought to reinstall the drivers but I got  scared for the big size of the download (somewhat like 2GB). But if it can helps, I will do it exactly tomorrow evening (I have a drawing demonstration, in the morning, and I prefer no to mess up with the machine before that).

    I hope it really starts to work. In general...anybody is known to have got Illustrator functioning correctly on SP4?

    Hi Angelo,

    We are working on interaction with wintab drivers part of the issue. However it is working fine without having wintab drivers installed or after uninstalling wintab drivers. Please get in touch with us at sharewithai@adobe.com if you have issues even after uninstalling wintab drivers and re-installing surface pro drivers from official microsoft download center. So, that someone can look into it. You can also share the video of issue with us.
