SVG Export Issue – Images Chipping/Breaking After PSD Import in Illustrator

Issue Description:
I've imported a PSD file with multiple image layers into Adobe Illustrator. In Illustrator, everything looks perfect, and none of the images or layers are cut or broken. However, after exporting the file as an SVG, when I open the SVG in Chrome or Edge, the images appear chipped or broken at the edges.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Imported a multi-layer PSD file into Adobe Illustrator (version [include version here, if known]).
  2. Adjusted the layers as needed (everything displays perfectly in Illustrator).
  3. Exported the file as an SVG.
  4. Opened the SVG in Chrome and Edge, where the images are chipped or breaking.

Has anyone encountered this issue or have any tips to prevent the chipping or breaking after SVG export?

Hello @pradeep_1805,

I am sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind sharing more details, like screenshot of the SVG export settings used, and a public link to a sample PSD and AI file after uploading to a file-sharing service like Google Drive/Dropbox/etc. so I can try and replicate this on my end?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks for your quick response

Steps I Followed:

  1. Import JPG File in Photoshop:
I imported the JPG file into Photoshop to begin working with the image.

  2. Remove Background & Cut Parts into Layers:
I removed the background and separated each part of the image into its own layer, without making any other changes.

  3. Save and Import in Illustrator:
I saved the file and imported it into Illustrator without further adjustments.

  4. Save as SVG in Illustrator:
I saved the file as an SVG in Illustrator. While the image looks fine in Illustrator, some parts of the SVG appear broken or chipped in the final output.
