Svg file with different sizes when exported in different versions of illustrator

Hi all,

I have a ai file that i want to export to svg.

In illustrator 2021, that I normally use to do this export, the svg file size is 131 KB.

Now I'm trying to use Illustrator 2024, but the svg file size is 1.9 MB.

Tried in other versions of Illustrator (2022 and 2023) and the file size is the same as in 2024.

I've attached the ai file and the svg export prefs.

Does anyone knows why this happens?

If you open one of the 2024 documents with a text editor, and comapre it with one from 2021, you might see what's different (i.e. additional) in the file that's causing the file bump

I noticed in your export settings, you have Embed selected for images. maybe that's the difference from previous exports? maybe an unused/hiddne/template image somewhere on your artboard?

You cannot attach AI files in this forum. Please upload it to Dropbox or the like.

Apart from that. Save as produces outdated code. You might want to check out Export for screen
