SVG Locks Up when moving/resizing in Illustrator

I have an SVG on my illustrator project. When I click open the SVG it opens a new illustrator project window. I cut the SVG and paste onto my currect project and scale it to size, but after the first action I cannot move nor rescale the SVG object.

We are sorry for the delayed response. It sounds like you're experiencing issues with an SVG file in Adobe Illustrator, where it becomes unmovable and unscalable after initially pasting it into your current project. If you are still facing this issue, then please try running the Illustrator app only under system safe mode (Mac/ Windows) and check if the same behavior is happening or not.

 

Also, ensure you are using the latest version of Illustrator, i.e., v27.8.1. If the issue persists, please share a sample SVG here, and we will check on our end.
