Swatch Options Preview checkbox buggy

This has been happening since the last 3 or 4 Illustrator versions.  Select object, double click a swatch, then tick the checkbox.  Adjust colors and the colors on the object do not respond.  I always have to tick the checkbox, untick it, then tick it again and then it will work.

    Sorry to hear about this experience. Would you mind sharing some more details, like the exact version of the OS/Illustrator, system config (CPU/GPU/Memory), and a screen recording of the problem (https://adobe.ly/3sHibC1), so we can investigate this further?

    I believe I can reproduce on Illustrator 27.9 and Windows 11. I have submitted a uservoice with video here:

    The same behaviour is evident with Illustrator 28.
