I'm making drawings in Fusion 360 (from Autodesk) and print it out as a PDF file. The file with all informations, is visible and possible to edit in Acrobat, but when importing into Illustrator, are the text and dimensions missing!!!

Illustrator is not a general purpose PDF editor.

It might work and it might fail.

You can try and: create a new file in Illustrator, then place the PDF, then Object > Flatten transparency with the setting "Outline all text"

I don’t think Adobe will accept it is an issue since that’s not what it’s for (See Illustrator is not... above)

I am also having this issue. Was never an issue on cs2,3,4,5, or 6 so something has for sure changed

Every pdf that I open in ai tells me "the document contains PDF objects that have been reinterpreted: some text has been outlined" (which did happen sometimes on the older versions), but the thing is that none of the outlined characters show up once outlined, they just disappear.

Illustrator isn’t a general PDF editor, so don’t be surprised at things like this. Never use it for that, the problems might be small and missed.
