TEXT ON PATH MISMATCH

I am working on making some standardization for our PrePress department. This include making some curved names. Since we are matching a customers curve I used a circle. However to save space I cut the circle in half. Why then does the kerning/spacing of the letters differ? Shouldn't they be the same since my input kerning is identical?

show please the screens with the Character panel for each text version.

I tried to repeat  your sample (text on a cyrcle and a hemi-circle with the ame radius and the same text settings), and the appearance was identical.

Double checked my paths. Seems something happened to my original recreation that affected the text somehow. Started over so that what I do can be recreated.
