Text Resizing Issue | Acts like point text till a point then becomes area type while resizing

After the recent update I started working on this old project, When i am resizing the text till a certain point size say 1000pt, it resizes normal like point type text does, after a point the text size stays the same and goes to the left edge like it would in area type, and when i leave the mouse it goes back to how it was before
