Question

The font error when pasting formulas from Mathtype

I am using Windows 11 and recently updated Illustrator. I have noticed that when I paste formulas from Mathtype, all symbols such as +,  -,  =,  etc., which are originally in the Euclid Symbol font, get converted to a Chinese font after copying, resulting in garbled text. I need to manually select these symbols and change the font to display them correctly. Before the update, I was using a version installed through downloading without using Creative Cloud, and I didn't encounter this issue. How can I resolve this?
Please... the fomulas are too many, and I am lazy lol.

When you turn on "Missing Glyph protection" in the Preferences > Type, does that help?

That font is not a PostScript Type 1 font, no?

Thx, but the setting has always been enabled. I'm not entirely sure if it's a PostScript Type 1 font; I found information suggesting that such fonts are no longer supported. However, I find that I can still adjust the text to this font in Illustrator, so it seems to be supported by the software.
