Question

The gaussian blur effect makes a box around my object even though I put "document-raster-effects>add" to maximum. How do I prevent it in Illustrator 26?

I’ve found the same problem happening to other people in forums, but the reply was always to change something in the document-raster-effects-settings, which changes nothing in my document. Is there another way to prevent it?

My settings:

background: transparent

add: 254mm

Thank you in advance!!

I remember a problem with updating the settings. If you go into the Appearance Panel and turn the Gaussian Blur Effect Off and On again after changing the Document Raster Effects Settings, it would update.

    Thank you! It worked!

FYI: It’s two objects layered, the bottom one has a higher blur-value and it’s the one making the problem.
