Probably you are using different color management settings in your Illustrator and in Acrobat?

I am not using acrobat. I just exported the design as pdf from illustrator and then opened the pdf on Microsoft edge ( because it's my default pdf viewer). I designed it at cmyk.

Don't expect any run of the mill PDF viewer to display the color as Illustrator does.

You need color management for that. And color management would need to be set up accordingly.
