The latest version of illustrator is so buggy its almost unusable!

I have used illustrator for over 20 years and in that time there has been a few annoying issues but nothing as bad as the latest release. The problem is mainly the cloud file manager, its terrible. Its slow and spends most of it's time with a spinning wheel. I'll be using illustrator without any issues, then I'll go to open another file and it locks up and I have to force close illustrator. This is on top of the really bad UI/UX changes adobe has introduced. Not everyone wants the default to be latest opened file, I order my files so I can find things but now when I go to open a file, I have to faff around changing the view so I see it ordered by name. Then there's the aweful way it now saves new files with a horrible list only view where you if you select the directroy where you want to save and then go back to the name field to edit it, it loses the selected directory. This is bad Adobe, please just change it back to how it was, it wasn't perfect but it was a 100x better than what we have now.

Can you perhaps post some screenshots of the stuff you do not like?

And when you adjust it to your needs, that is not sticky?

Its the not the visuals, its the usage. For example, the save file process starts having to click "your files" because it defaults to "Projects". The you get a list view, with no option to change to tile view. The list is ordered by recent so I now have to click the settings to select order by name. Then you have to remember to change to file name before you click a directory otherwise it deselects the folder and just saves it in the root. Simliarly when opening a file, I have to click settings to change the order to name instead of recent. And yes, I have to do this everytime as it doesn't remember the settings, it just defaults back to the way I don't like.
