The main selection tool selecting random object that are far and I'm not hovering over

Just like in the subject line. The main selection tool keeps selecting random objects in the proximity (5cm on the screen)  that are far and I'm not hovering over instead of objects I'm actually trying to select. It's like I've got some sort of selection support or easing turned on and It's guessing which elements I am trying to interact with.

I'm on Illustrator 2025, already restarted both it and the computer, After a quick google I can't find any mentions of this issue anywhere.
