I'm getting this error a lot when either importing or saving an illustrator file - my keystrokes appear to quick for the programme to keep up - seems I need to wait 2 seconds before hitting the key commend of where to save - very frustrating

Hi Greg,

Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind sharing version of the OS & Illustrator?

I'd also request resetting the preferences of Adobe Illustrator once and see if it improves the performance.

**Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Ashutosh

I'm sorry but this error is continuing - very frustrating - I need to wait for a second for it to catch up - otherwise it will come up with this error.

Oh man, I thought I was the only one. This bug is so annoying. I typically export my files to my desktop, so it's a quick CMD-Shift-S for Save As, then CMD-D for Desktop but like you, I'm "too fast" for the program and I end up getting that error.

Adobe: I'm using Illustrator 25.0 with Mac OS Big Sur.
