Question

The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error PARM while using image trace Illustrator

Hi,

I just downloaded and installed Illustrator to accomplish one task:  Convert a logo saved as a .bmp file to a vector file.  After signing up for a subscription with a 7-day trial, I am ready to accomplish my task. 

  1. I clicked on Open => Selected the file
  2. I clicked on the image and a blue rectangle defines the edges
  3. I click on Image Trace and .... "The operation cannot complete becuase of an unkown error" [PARAM]

 

Please note that I did not change any of the default set-up parameters during the installation. 

What should I try before cancelling my subscription?  Thank you in advance!

Hi Anshul,

 

Thank you for your offer of support.  This was my first experience with Illustrator.  The failure to do a basic function with no apparent path to resolution was not a good first experience. I cancelled the subscription on day 2 and moved on.
