Tiffs are showing up as lines

When I drop a TIFF file into illustrator and then move it around or zoom out or drag something across the page over it, it will turn into lines making it very difficult to work. Anyone else have this issue? Is there a fix? This seems like a glitch in the program, never had this issue before.

Seems fixed in prerelease and beta versions.

Currently in 28.5, switching to GPU preview (Cmd or Ctrl E) is a workaround.
